Why do you keep calling it a “crappy Hyundai”?
We drove the Ioniq 5 and 6, and although its not a BMW or MB Interior wise, they are beautiful in their own way (futuristic vs classic german). Th Hyundai dealship’s salesperson here was better than any other salesperson we have dealt with anywhere else…
Only reason why we didnt buy was our concern over the 12v battery issues and overheating when charging at 48W.
Both of which have workarounds I believe.
The OP was saying that he/she could have bought a cheap, used Hyundai to get the $2500 loyalty incentive.
might want to double check that math lol
Ah I see. thx
Sorry my error. What the Hyundai dealer gave me (when we finalized the paperwork with the finance dept) was 4x$250 vouchers PLUS a discount of the selling price of another $1000. The $7500 “lease discount” was never in question. I did talk to a lease broker who said he could get another $500 but he never came through with the deal or the car I wanted. So this was the best I could do. Home that math works!
Assuming this was the Limited RWD.
Anyone successfully replicate one pay lease in California?
Just bought the last Ioniq 6 SE AWD from Lehigh Valley, gonna post it later tonight or tomorrow. $7167 one pay. 12k/year, 24 months. $1200 of the total was just PA taxes. Effective 299/mo + 400 at the end. Paid 3500 with CC and 3700 with cashiers check.
Another thing I forgot to mention, I bought a barely running $500 Hyundai on Saturday via Facebook market place, $240 to register (and instantly get registration for the $2500 loyalty). Once I get the title, I’m gonna try to sell for $750, but I can even scrap it for $500 sight unseen. So that adds a little bit to the effective monthly assuming I sell for $500 and lose $240.
Smoking deal, congrats!
Lucky PA customer. They do not pay sales tax from all rebates and incentives.
Great job!!!
NJ even better, no sales tax at all, this deal would’ve been $1200 cheaper!
how you get to $7167? With 10k rebates and 5k off, isn’t it around $5360 one-pay?
The GSM chickened out and canceled everyone’s promised $5k off MSRP. I only got ~3500 off msrp
10char
I considered doing this for bmw loyalty a while back… way too lazy…hats off to you sir !
Kudos - did you end up dealing with Ali?
Dang, I wish they let me do $3500 CC (2% back) - they said max $2500. Not a big deal, but every little bit counts. Going the cheap Hyundai route would have been worthwhile for me if the family connection hadn’t worked out.
What was the MSRP? I almost bought one too a few weeks back. But got scared.
Does anyone know if the loyalty discount applies to other models (namely the Santa Fe) or is it specific to the Ioniq?
Specific to certain models/trims.
I have only seen it for the Ioniqs.
Sounds like an awesome deal. So IIUC, all you paid is $8359 once for 2y ?
