Initially they wanted to tack on $5,000 in dealer add-ons but they made me work for it to get them to take it off all together. They were firm at ~$7,300 for a few days, but after some back and forth I finally asked to speak to their GSM about removing the remaining $750 because I don’t want the rest of the “pre-installed” items, they came back saying they’ll take it off, so it never hurts to be persistent!

I paid a $500 deposit on the only other one they have thinking my brother would go for it but he’s leaning towards buying out his current lease.

Dealer is located in north Texas, if anyone else wants the same deal please DM me only if you qualify for the $2,500 loyalty rebate (current Hyundai lease in household) and Tier 1 credit (700+).

Congrats!
I am assuming this is 24/10. Could you also share the MSRP?

Thanks!

It was supposed to be for 24M/12K since Hyundai doesn’t allow 10K miles on 24M but the contract says 15K so no complaints here lol.

MSRP $47,300

That 15k on the contract might be a typo, I would assume you are on a 12k plan unless proven otherwise.

Wouldn’t make sense for the dealer to eat an extra 2% for the 15k bump when you never asked for it

I think so too since they used the RV/MF I got from Edmunds on 24M/12K but I’m waiting for Hyundai to establish my account so I can login to confirm. I’m good with 12K miles but getting 15K would be even better haha

First I’ve seen/heard of sales tax credits in TX with HMF. How much did it cover?

Not 100% sure about the dollar amount saved but it brought my tax rate down from 8.25% to 1.25% and I only got charged around $417.

If I do quick math I think without the tax credit I would’ve had to pay around $2,750, so I guess I saved ~$2,300.

Think car lease tax rates in TX are 6.25%, it’s not the same rate as your local sales tax - either way, the way we get taxed here for the total sales price of the vehicle, getting down to 1.25% is a significant savings. Thanks for the reply and enjoy the car, great deal!

That’s good to know I always thought they were the same, but yeah completely agree. One of my first questions I ask dealers now is if they have them available before I get into negotiations. Thanks, good luck in your search!

Agreed. Tax credits in TX are a massive differentiator on a lease.

In florida they tax tbe payment only in my understanding…

Questions:
What was the final capitalized cost and then what is the residua?

so like what would the amount be at the end of the lease if you wanted to purchase the car thanks

Hi, congrats on the deal. Which platforms do you use to find a car? I’ve been using cargurus but wondering if there’s a better way to check for large supply / potential discounts and target those dealers

Gross Capitalized Cost = $46,207.48
Residual = $32,630.10

I’m not sure how it works in Florida but in Texas if I wanted to buy it out I’d have to pay the residual amount plus tax

Thanks! I also used Cargurus to start but I don’t think it’s 100% accurate because I contacted dealers that didn’t show any inventory that had some come in recently.

I don’t really know of any other way to check inventory so it doesn’t hurt to contact all local dealers to know what’s coming to them that they haven’t added to stock
