X3 model year switch over is August I believe so this car has been sitting on the dealers lot for a minimum of a year and it looks like they charged him fairly close to MSRP. 25s start retailing on 10/5 so this thing is already 2 years old. Something really isn’t adding up or the deal is as bad as it appears.
In other words, I should let him know that he received a poor deal, as he could easily walk into other dealerships and find an X3 with a comparable MSRP for the same $718 effective payment ?
The X3 is all new for 25 so I don’t know what the inventory of 24s is. Check the marketplace for current deals. I can tell you for sure that anything less than a big, giant, huge discount on a 23 is crazy. I picked up my wife’s 2023 X3M in Sept 2022 so two full years ago.
If i were you, i wouldnt say anything just say hey next time let me know, will do better. Poor guy is happy having a new car, you really dont wanna kill his vibe. Imo every time he starts that car he’s gonna think about the deal
It looks like he got 13% off with base MF, and that’s if he has loyalty. This wasn’t a “bad deal” if it was a new car and the limited availability of X3s with M sport right now. Yes, it’s a 2023, but it’s not as horrible as you think.
