To be honest I would have opted for the CRV EX-L instead and would have gone NON hybrid. Working out the cost in fuel savings on a hybrid, you are not even going to come close in gas savings had you gone hybrid over non hybrid. That’s how I personally would have looked at that.

The payment would have been $371 a month instead of $389. I’m certain I’ll save over $18/month in gas

You should be able to do much better than $371 on a non hybrid exl

The saving from 389 to 371 has nothing to do with the gas savings. And in reality your payment is $413 a month so considering a NON hybrid CRV EX-L even priced at $350 a month would still be $63 a month cheaper…

Crv hybrid does 40/35

Crv NON hybrid 28/34

Do you know the amount of miles you have to drive to save dollars over a non hybrid vs hybrid model??

Many many miles.

That’s why in most cases hybrids in my opinion aren’t worth it. The premiums you pay take many years to add up the difference of saving any money at the pump.

He probably got it for HOV lane sticker. No one really gets one thinking they will save money

The cheapest CRV EXL I could find for 15k miles was $384, $871 down. The $371 was not including the student offer I’m not eligible for. I drive at least 15k miles a year. The residual of the non hybrid was much lower than the hybrid. For an extra $5/month, it was a no-brainer.

Was this the lowest dealer advertised price, cheapest broker advertised price, or your target price based on the current lease structure and an established target pre-incentive discount from researched deals?

Calculator looks off… posting the contract without personal info would eliminate the ambiguity

Gas savings is not all that there are to hybrid version. It has slightly different package, EX-L Hybrid is comparable to Touring non-Hybrid (minus NAV you don’t need anyway). Transmission is completely different and thus ride quality.

Some like you try to save money and rationally look at it that way.

Others try to save the planet and look at it that way. It also gives them street cred with their eco-buddies. rational or not

As ridiculous as it sounds. If I had put the same money down on either the EXL Hybrid & Non-Hybrid. The difference in price is $5. Will I save at least $5 a month with hybrid? Of course, that’s a no brainer to go with hybrid. For reference, I have attached prices I received from different dealers. These were all 12k/36, 2k down.

I have changed my initial numbers, as I worked backwords and didn’t have the contract. With that being said, I ended up being completely wrong. Here is the Lease Contract.

This is for 15000 miles a year right? So for 10000 miles, payments should be 50$ less than this. Am I correct lease pros ?

You don’t pay taxes in NJ ?

Do the math using the LH calculator. Don’t guess.

ETA: you are looking at 5-month old deals? You might as well forget you saw this.

With the markets the way they are now you’d be lucky to pick up this trim in hybrid for less than $500

Well I got lucky, that’s my actual contract I signed

Yes, this was for 15k miles. A rodo deal to be exact.
