After visiting 3 dealers and emailing 20. I finally found a decent deal for a Honda Civic Sport. Got 245 monthly, 999 DAS. This dealer was so easy to work with, emailed sales manager and sealed the deal over the phone with F&I manager. Picked up the car today, 30 miles away from where I live in Union County, NJ. Dealer is based out of NYC.
Looks solid in this market. What was the MSRP? How much of a discount did you get?
MSRP is $22,850, I was targeting 5%+ off sticker before the 900 incentive Honda got. I’m in North NJ, had a really hard time with all the NJ dealers I contacted. Most were at MSRP and only giving me the 900 discount. Expanded my reach to include NYC dealers within 50 miles from me. Playing around with the calculator, this was my target, how the dealer got to that number is beyond me.
Either your 62% residual is off or the MSRP is higher than $22,850. The residual on the contract is 64.6% of $22,850. It would be a $23,805 MSRP at 62%.
Yep you’re right 23,805 is the number with dest fee included.

Paragon Honda in Queens. I used to live in the city before moving to Jersey. Paragon Honda used to be real slimy, can’t complain this time around. Handled everything remotely, showed up to the dealer to sign some DMV stuff and was out of the dealer within 20 mins. I worked directly with the sales manager, if you want some of the names I dealt with at different dealers drop me a PM.
