Is this a deal? Probably not. I did the worst thing when it comes to shopping for a lease deal: I shopped for the car instead of the deal. I’m sure I could have squeezed a few more bucks off per month if I had shopped around the final quote some more, but for the amount of effort I put into it I am happy. Asking for dealers to give base MF was way harder than asking for discount; some dealers were willing to go up to 11% off MSRP but would mark up MF to the max so it would essentially negate the discount compared to the unit I settled on. I would have taken a loaner but couldn’t find any that had the combination of options I desired (Portimao blue + live cockpit + driving assistance package) willing to give a big enough discount to make it “worth it” over a new unit. Maybe this is representative of an “average” deal now in SoCal? Or at least a kicking off point for people to get better deals.

Enjoy it! Looks nice.

Edit: I think this is a good deal for someone to get the car they want and know when they’ve put enough time in.

For others who look at this deal and want to improve on it, one way to make this deal better would obviously be MSDs, but 3500 is a lot of money to put up even though it’s refundable.

An alternative is to take to capitalize all fees and instead do first payment + MSDs x3. You have an identical due at signing, higher monthly but save an overall 300 bucks on the deal.

I am thinking the same. No more white loaners when my lease is up that blue looks really nice.

That’s why you negotiate discount and give them their MF markup

This is a similar deal I was getting back in November for a brand new 330i. I think for an M Sport, it’s a strong deal.

I went with a loaner instead and saved over $100 a month.

All very good points! I hadn’t thought of the first payments + 3 MSDs up front and rolling the fees. I originally had planned for max MSDs but had an incident that required that cash.

Couldn’t get the other dealer to budge past 11% off a new unit, and with max markup on MF it would be more expensive than the deal I got.

given the state of the car market and maybe the unrealistic expectations set from insane deals a couple years ago, I think this is a deal.

Sorry for the “newbish” question but what does live cockpit do? It was one of the options you said you desired so curious what live cockpit means/what it is

Thanks

The dashboard is digital. One big beautiful screen. Worth every penny.

First photo is the default dash / navigation screen. Second photo is the live cockpit, which includes the larger iDrive screen as well.

Congratulations. You got a very fair deal on a car that you will enjoy (and this is important). It’s not worth saving the $30-40 a month to get a car that you will not like just because it is the better deal.

A brand new 2021 330i M-Sport. A car that really has no competition in its class [C Class, No. Audi A4, No. Lexus (lol)]. A car that is almost $50,000, brand new, and loaded for $500 a month with $2,000 for all fees and DP paid. What do you want more? Great deal, enjoy.
