SIGNED: 2020 BMW i3 BEV Special Order - $240/mo effective

Big thanks to Chris Sharpe @ BMW of Riverside for hooking me up with 7.2% off on a special order configured to my spec, at a time when most dealers were holding out for MSRP on terribly specced inventory units…negotiated back in July, arrived and signed today.

The rates reduced even further recently, and I was able to take full advantage (Lower MF, and extra $500 for going from one lease into another according to dealer).

Can’t recommend this car enough, it’s our 3rd one after all. BEV is the best, Tech and Harmon Kardon are a must…skip the moonroof for much more headroom, 20” wheels for sharper handling, i3 instead of i3s for smoother ride, longer range, and a more refined look. I’ve had and/or tried them all and this is definitely my most recommended variation.

Thank you LH

***CVRP low income would make this deal $171/mo effective.

Shout out to Chris Sharpe at Riverside. Always enjoyed working with him too.

Congrats! 10% off on ordered i3 is pretty normal deal to get in many dealers in Socal

Congrats! We have near identical twins, although mine is a REX w/ Deka interior (identical options otherwise re: tech/HK)

I picked mine up in mid-December last year and it appears these numbers are very close to what they were for me. I had a $54K MSRP w/ 0 MSDs and a few more incentives offered, but all of BMWs incentives appear to be near identical.

I went WAY out of my way to get a BEV with HK sound and ended up settling on a local REX just for that option (plus Tech + 20in wheels just like yours). I completely agree with you on the spec, although I do prefer the look of the i3s.

Question for you- assuming your last i3 was a lease, how was your return process? More specifically, did they try to get you for tires?

I do mostly city driving, so I go through at least one set of rears every 15k. I think if you have at least 6/32 in the middle of the tire you’re good?

I had 2015 version of this exact spec without HK. Sold it after a year since it had small ev range of 80 miles max. I also hate its 20inch narrow tires.

This car really need a major redesign

Up to 165+ miles now. Love the skinny tires for their ridiculous turning radius, great wet weather traction, low rolling resistance and cost.

Thankfully most people don’t appreciate the design, which helps keep the price so low.

The i4 does look nice…

Great deal! Since you seem to be the i3 options connoisseur, how do you feel about the $200 parking assistant feature? Too gimmicky? For that little it shouldn’t move the payment that much right? And about those 20" wheels, is there really a big difference between the base 19" 426 style wheels? And the wireless charging? Was looking to get one soon enough and nobody near me has one to try out.

Had the auto parking feature on both my previous, used them once or twice to show off. So simply not worth it for me, but if you live in a major city with tight parking it could definitely be useful.

20” wheels are my fav looking, and I prefer the sharper handling, but that being said plenty of people prefer the 19’s for extra comfort.

Wireless charging costs too much for what it is, and limits armrest storage space. I’d rather plug in and retain easy access to the phone, for free. CarPlay does work well though, so perhaps the wireless charging is good if it’s as fast as wired, especially if CarPlay drains the battery faster…which I can’t speak to yet because ios14 is already draining my battery more than usual.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for your insight! Might just throw in a the parking assistant for fun, looked at the wireless charging and I don’t really like how it’s in the armrest console. Also the 20”s do look good, but personally for the price, I like a better ride anyway. Thanks again

and 15 days later this car can be had for $30-50 a month less
