Thanks everyone for your help the last few weeks. Reading all the BMW posts really helped me understand what I should be negotiating. Just signed a great deal for a 2019 X1 loaner with 4550 miles and MSRP of $41,695, convenience package and heated seats/wheel. Selling price of $32,500 including $500 OL code. They wouldn’t move the MF any lower, but with a >22% discount I had to pull the trigger. Oh, and finance made me wait forever, so they threw this in for free for my baby: https://www.shopbmwusa.com/PRODUCT/5974/BMW-MOTORSPORT-BABY-RACER-III
Thanks for the reply @calihackr. I’m in Northeast Pennsylvania. The dealership said that the MF is set by BMW and cannot be changed any lower. Not sure if the incentives can be enhanced. Dealer is offering about 17%. So you’re saying to ask them to offer 20% incentives total to sweeten the deal for me? Thanks.
With that MSRP, I would try to negotiate a selling price of $31,350 or better. Incentives would be on top of that. Right now, they’re only offering 10% discount. For a loaner, that’s not very good. I’ve seen deals on here with that discount on new cars.
And only negotiate the pre-incentive price, don’t let them play you by combining incentives, which you being an educated buyer should already know what those are. Remember incentives are from the manufacturer not the dealer.
