Signed: 2019 BMW i3 REX - MSRP: $55,545 - 24/10 - $225 DAS + $225/month Including Tax

,

Picked this up as a replacement for our X1 lease ending. Probably not explicitly replicable but in line with other i3 deals out there. What really helped was the extra WA i3 credit.

Couple things: yes, I forgot the MF waiver. No, I didn’t do MSD - in the event this ends up not working for our family, I wanted to make transfer simple.

Got a similar deal in Norcal, traded in a 2007 328i + $1,000 cash. I didn’t post the deal since not sure how to replicate the numbers in the calculator. But I also get $800 from local utility. Depending on the value of the trade, it’s somewhere between $150 - $200 a month I guess.

@28firefighter Congrats on your car, I like it so far, drives like a BMW (unlike my old 2015 Leaf).

Mine’s a loaner with 2250 miles on it, MSRP 50345.

Congrats!! Awesome deal.

Fantastic deal @28firefighter👍

That three grand from the state of Washington is awesome!

EDIT… I see that you have 10.4% sales tax. That’s how they fund these rebates, LOL

Even without MSDs this is a 0.4% deal, outstanding. If it was a car you knew you were going to keep for the full 24 months, I think you said with MSDs you’d have been around 188?

IMO this deal is pretty close to epic.

The $3000 i3 credit in WA is not from the state. It’s some kind of thing from BMW!

WA has an EV sales tax exemption I am going to try and get.

No state income tax in Washington state:grinning:

Somewhere around there, yes. I just hate recovering MSD during a transfer. Most folks just don’t get it and this was cheap enough that it was OK with me to forego them.

That is awesome, they must really want to move the cars up in that area. When I first got my 2017, at the DMV when I registered it the guy told me they were only 17 in the state at that time. They are not exactly popular here😜

At that sales tax rate, thank goodness there isn’t. No state income tax here in Florida either, state sales tax is 6% but each county can add on a discretionary additional amount. My county adds 1%…But I’m sure that 1% goes to very worthwhile causes. Hahhahahaa😁

Will that mean any taxes on the incentives will be refunded, and also that your monthly payment will not have taxes applied to it? Man oh man, I definitely hope you can get that through, as that would be incredible.

Years ago I was in Vancouver WA, I was told people drive over to Portland to shop because there’s no sales tax. Here in CA, there’s all kinds of taxes!

People that live reasonably close to New Hampshire do the same thing. They drive over the state line to buy things since there is no sales tax there.

Congrats man ! Awesome deal !

For those keeping track at home, it looks like the $3000 WA i3 credit from last month is gone (was showing up on autobytel and no longer is).

@28firefighter congrats man! Really nice work. It seems the BMW dealers around here aren’t usually very easy to crack, so you did an awesome job! Enjoy the ride and keep us posted on the sales tax exemption.

Thanks! Certainly a bit different from the other cars I was considering.
