It’s not an RS5, but I am absolutely green with envy.

If I hadn’t made so many poor financial decisions in my early 20’s, maybe I’d be able to pull this off myself.

Oh well, enjoy the car. Love the color!

It’s definitely not an RS5. This has more power, more torque and is lighter. Tech in the RS5 is very very nice though, and Quattro is always a plus. As a former Audi S4 owner, I can appreciate where Audi has taken the RS line. I just wish they didn’t lease so horribly!!!

What a beauty!!! Congratulations and enjoy.

Correct. None of the other cars mentioned previously in this thread come close to 7:38 around the Nurburgring. This is not a parts bin M3. It’s completely reworked to be a track monster more akin to the CSL, but can also be driven every day.

I have gone around the Nurburgring in a ZCP M3 in a low 8 minute lap, courtesy of Tom Blomqvist. Thirty seconds faster is flying and requires a tremendous amount of engineering and development. The CS is a bargain under the $100k mark.

They look good in San Marino Blue too.

You’ve lapped a ZCP M3 in the low 8 mins? That’s pretty impressive driving abilities!

You sound like an impressive driver!

Now, to bring the M3 CS down to earth; if we are going to use Nurburgring as bragging rights, a FWD Sedan stock was able to lap it in 7:43 and cost around 36k MSRP.

7:38 is still mighty impressive, though.

I can’t take credit for that. It was Tom Blomqvist, driver for BMW, who took me out the day after he raced in the 24 hr race at the Nurburgring. He was very dialed in at that point

That being said, a vehicle’s ability to shave off thirty seconds (which is an eternity) from that lap speaks volumes about how impressive a car the CS is.

Ah I see. That must have been an awesome experience! I agree that 7:38 for the CS is quite an achievement as well.
