I don’t currently have a BMW, so no loyalty but the additional $2k conquest offer got my attention for this 2018 i3.
A little background: The expected sale price was $44,050 they fudged the numbers on the lease sheet which shows a sale price of $41665. I’m assuming they monkeyed with the numbers to favor their accounting books – but even with the MF marked up a bit ($708) I received an additional $1677 of savings–so I let it slide. In Arizona, the doc fee alone is $499–they only charged $142–that was almost enough to cover my shipping charge.
My win: got the vehicle I wanted for an insanely low monthly lease amount for Arizona. I will save $800/yr on license plates alone!
My LH loss: Possibly could’ve unwound the MF to save $708, and could’ve pushed harder for the MSD’s. However, I probably would’ve lost some of the added sales price savings.
All-in-all, I think it was a win-win for us both. Thoughts?
