Signed! $165k MSRP - 2024 Audi RS etron GT DEMO - 24/7500 - $21k one-pay + tax (MD)

$21k one-pay + $6500 tax (MD is brutal) = $27,500 TOTAL out the door.

  • $875/mo.
  • $1,145/mo. with tax

Not like the unicorn deals I’ve heard about from last year, but all things considered it seemed fair!

I’ll try to upload the contract and do a calculator to match.

did you get “new” car inventives? $12500 National Credit + $7500 EV lease cash + $10000 dealer cash + $2000 Costco? $6500 MD tax is brutal.

No, I didn’t. It’s essentially priced like a used vehicle but with the higher allowable RV and a knowledgeable dealer, it works out.

I was planning to just buy a preowned 21/22 Taycan 4S or 22-24 Audi etron GT. I realized both are depreciating at least $10-15k/year and likely more post warranty period.

With no great way to repair the HV battery modules (that I know of) and the reality that a complete HV battery replacement would cost $40-70k…leasing made a lot more sense for me. And I’ll get the model up…RS!

Ended in January. So Dec/Jan was the sweet spot on the 24s if you could locate the inventory.

Was looking to find a replacement for my 1 pay Project 513/2. I had a deal for 14% pre-incentive discount + $20000 incentives in Dec and Jan on a new $165k RS with Ceramic brakes. (Audi was so unclear that the additional $2500 incentives they listed were not for “special” lease rates. The dealer also wouldn’t offer the CA subverted MF=0.00021 (0.00051). So the deal fell apart over $2500.

Decided to do lease extension and then see if there’s something else compelling that comes along.

Was it thru AFS? What was the RV and MF? Information on pre-owned AFS leases is scant.

One of my previous long time Audi sales guys said that they can’t really negotiate their pre-owned and that the MF was ridiculously high.

A Taycan that’s fairly priced at $65-70k today cannot lose $30k in the next two years.

You know what’s more brutal?

That tax will become $6900-$7400 starting July 1.

I’m not convinced that’s true. Will let you make that bet!

I might be looking for a free Hornet in 2027! D’oh!

Yes via AFS. RV was like $108k. Adjusted Cap $500 more. MF = .00422 approx. I uploaded the contract to LH.

I would think about just holding out to see if incentives get better on the 25s.
