Got $2500 off from dealer and $7500 AudiFS lease credit. There wasn’t a lot of inventory, most dealers have 0-2 of these so took a few some work to get below sticker (socal marketplace brokers/dealers are $0-$500 net off)
Calculator below but I bought out & refinanced to save a bit on interest, can buy out anytime with no break fees
They have one more Q4 50 Prestige (black w black optics and same $10k off deal).
Etron will have better interior and air suspension, but handle way worse because of weight and size. And not ideal for downtown parking. Each to their own.
EQS suv for $700/month in that size range is the better deal.
ID4 also goes up to $58k plus when fully optioned.
For pure “value”, yes the base trim is always the better deal, a fully loaded X3 costs more than a base X5. Etc.
I dunno man. I owned a Q3 and then a Q5. Q5 handles better by a long shot every day of the week and twice on Saturdays. A better car is a better car. Heavy doesn’t make it boat-like when it’s engineered well. The Q3 felt like a cheap go-kart. I’m hoping the Q4 is built better than the Q3, but I’m fearful that being on the ID4 frame means it won’t handle nearly as well as a sturdier but heavier SUV. The e-tron doesn’t handle quite as well as my Q5, but it’s close.
Yeah same on having both and I’d 110% get a Q5 vs Q3. But Q5 is almost same weight (<5% dif), turning radius (<1%) and similar mpg. Q5 is basically the more premium take on the same car
Etron is >20% heavier, 20% worse eMPG, 20% worse turning radius than Q4…
In my experience the etron handles like a massive cow. Worst ride of any lux suv I’ve driven. Massive, massive squat, dive, and body roll in all modes. I would hope that the Q4 is better but I haven’t driven one.
$2500 off plus incentive is good for the area. Assuming if one dealer can get there, Sam can as well.
I almost wish I just paid sticker vs spend 30 hours over 2 weeks on this, but my last few cars were under invoice with 2 hours of emailing dealers… and it’s been a learning curve on this one…
Just become a broker now that you found a dealer that will play ball. So cal is a pita market right now. Even the high volume dealers who used to be willing to move cheap units and do so quickly, have tightened up. My last two purchases took way too many hours as well.
Yeah the extra fun part is because most SoCal dealers have 0-1 Q4 Prestige’s on the lot and cancelled/former customer orders don’t show up on AudiUSA inventory…
Ended up getting a customer order cancellation, they placed the order back in September…
Surprised by this comment. My e-tron was by far the best handling SUV I’ve had. And that’s compared to an X5 50i w dynamic handling, Model X, Model Y, Defender and now the EQS 450+.
Yeah for me it was GLC43, GLC300, GLE450, Q3, Q5, Q7, and etron was far and away the boat of the bunch. My wife who is not a performance car junkie the way I was before going to SUVs, said it drove like a boat and she wouldn’t drive it if I got one. Maybe they are better now, I don’t know.
I’ve kicked up a hornet’s nest… yeah, I suppose the e-tron doesn’t handle great if you’re tracking the car, but on windy freeways, it’s a great ride. Subjective, apparently!
