I got notified of this thread since @Ursus tagged me, so I’ll chime in only to say… I was extremely upset about the VCFS situation, especially because I was just trying to walk away from the lease and not actually make any money. A few people in my thread pointed out that I should just call VCFS and ask them to terminate the lease early and that’s exactly what I did. I got an answer within a day and they simply told me to drop the car off in the next 10 days without paying a penalty. That’s exactly what I ended up doing and before dropping it off I financed a Tesla M3SR+ with LFP battery pack for 1.24%. It’s been a little over a week with the Tesla and my wife couldn’t be happier.
