They said they would pay the last two payments and give me $250 a month which includes taxes.
I’m going to get them to throw in all season floor mats, wheel locks, hood cover, door flim guard and maybe the splash guard. My Honda fit, they only want to give me $12,000 for 22,300 miles for being 3 years as of Nov.
I feel like I should take this, but also feel I shouldn’t. What do you all think? This is really my first time leasing on my own.
$250/mo, $1000 due at signing for a Civic seems kind of high. What’s the mf and residual? Are they marking up the mf? Why are they charging you tax on the full purchase price?
Do not trade in your current car. They are charging you over $1k in negative equity. It’d be better to just make the last 2 payments yourself and turn it in (unless you are over mileage?).
@nyclife I did call Honda financial and they said there is no early turn in, but there is for Acura.
@Jon Now they are saying they will pay the last two payments while making me pay the $1000. I still refuse to put anything down except licence, title and whatever else fee’s I need to pay for paperwork. The car is worth more at the end of the lease ($12,366.25)
I’m at the point where I’m going to look else where.
I agree - this deal can be negotiated further. They are seemingly giving a good discount but then asking for 1k down and another 1k negative equity which makes the price go up. I would say negotiate more or look elsewhere …With this car as conquest, you could get a GMC Terrain for well under 200 …
At this point I might as well wait till Oct since that will be the last payment and wait for the 2018’s to come out. Funny thing is they say they are having a 2017 clearance sale, yet it doesn’t seem like it. I wish they weren’t the only ones in the state to have the Costco discount.
I’m not much of a GMC fan, we been a Honda family since 06.
