Didn’t BMW drop residual on X5 by 2%? 56/55/53?
AFAIK no for 2019.
Edmunds list lowered residual for 2020 due to “high demand” leading to “no need to subsidize residual”.
Why would 2019 have a higher residual? Just wondering
These lease incentives numbers are just wrong…

2019 has higher residual because BMW is subsidizing it to move the 2019s. Actual projected value in 36 months for a 2020 is obviously higher than 2019 right now but captive finance companies can use their marketing $$ to inflate residuals and/or offer lease cash. On a slow selling model they might have to do both. Fortunately for BMW the X5 is selling well, so not much support needed at all on 2020 model and they’re boosting residual a little on 2019 to clear them out - but they are in more demand than a 5 series which is why those have strong lease cash and a few points higher on residual.
