Sell leased Ford to original dealer within 120days?

,

I have a leased 2020 Ford explorer that ends November 23 (~50 days from expiring) and ~6500 miles over the allowed mileage.
I know Ford doesn’t allow 3rd party buyout within 120 days but I am wondering if the original dealer can buy it out from me? (The one shows as lessor on the contract)
If I just turn it in, the overage+dispo fee is about $2000, if I buy it at $27800 (RV) then I have to pay ~$1750 sales tax and current market value is 28-30K so I might not break even.
I called the original dealer but they don’t seem familiar with this situation. That dealer is 3.5hr away so I don’t want to drive there and waste my time.

pretty sure any ford dealer can buy it. shop it around and take the best offer.

Already confirmed with multiple ford dealers that they can’t buy it within 120 days of expiration. Just called the original dealer again and they told me they can buy it at my buyout price and cut me a check if there’s equity.
I think I will give them a try, at lease I save on overage charges.
