How’s the process to sell my lease to Carvana or Carmax, I have a ton of equity on my S4 and I am ready to move to the next one.
I read the payoff is different, is it too much? according to carvana and kbb I should have around 12K, is that eaten up by Audi charging a higher payoff?
You wont have the problem if you sell it to an audi or porsche dealer. Get some offers before you make your life a pain in the ass. The audi or porsche dealer will not have a higher buyout, so it will be easier.
A pretty good rule is if you lose up to about $3000 then start considering it hard because the paperwork hassle and taxes might net you the same amount.
I actually reached out to my dealer and they told me if I was interested in trade it in to use the equity in a new car. I sent them a Q7 and they marked it up 10K and appraised my car in 9K of equity, leaving me basically at -1K in this trade.
Of course I laughed so hard that they probably could hear it but my question is: are Q7s going over sticker for 10K? I had a friend who placed a x5 order and they sold it below sticker, and my BMW dealer where I got my wife’s car from is autonation so they likely can buy my Audi too (making an assumption here though)
Depends on how many diamond rings the dealer needs to buy his wife
With the pandemic, any car on the lot can have a mark up. It’s up to how much YOU want to pay. But yes 9k and 10k was a pretty funny way to basically say ‘bend over and give us your car for free’
got in touch with them, they will send me an offer later today and said they are interested. the internet manager was very polite and mentioned me he does not recommend getting into any other lease if I want to get any kind of good deal so not even considering trading it in, just a straight up sale.
as I said on my other post i already got a 9K offer (44 offer vs 35 cost) but they wanted to do it with another deal in which the Q7 was marked up 10k and I was at -1K… long story short 5K DAS + 9K equity (effectively 14K DAS) for $900pm at 48/10 MSRP $62K… I didn’t even reply.
They can but they might charge you a fee if you don’t go to an AN audi store. Matt (Mllcb) already suggested a store in FL that will help, so I suggest reaching out to them.
