I saw this on Toyota website while checking out Minivans online.
$276/ Months*
36M onths*
$3,999 Due at Signing*
10,000 Annual Mileage*
This seems to be too good to be true. What could be the catch here?
I know it’s Base model and some costs are not added yet such as taxes and paperwork but even with that it would be like 300-325 for a Sienna. Is there something I am missing that would increase the cost when I call the dealership with this offer?
I haven’t leased any car yet, and that’s why I think there might be something I don’t see here?
If the dealership honors this should the jump the gun here?
A number of CA Toyota brokers and dealers exist in the Marketplace section on LeaseHackr and can happily provide you more realistic pricing.
The two off the top of my head @Cody_Carter has a website with his pricing and @Jeff_BeachCitiesAuto represents Toyota as a broker. I’d start there before looking at an ad and thinking it’s going to be true.
Toyota.com doesn’t include any taxes or fees basically. Its basically only showing depreciation. We get these all the time and customer think we are the issue.. wish toyota would get more accurate or just turn that off
I would recommend not wasting time reading dealer or manufacturer ads.
Relatively few people take the time to understand how lease prices are constructed, and rely on ads to find a vehicle that fits into a target (or aspirational) price range… but that almost always leads to grave disappointment when all of the costs are disclosed.
You followed your instinct to come here and ask, so you’re on the right track to more rationally shop for your next vehicle.
There’s nothing unusual about this offer, but it’s more than “300-325” a month. Remember you have to divide the upfront money (3999.00) by the length of the lease and add that to the monthly payment amount, which in this case would come out to around 380 dollars a month. On top of that, you add your local sales tax rate. The 3,999 due at signing should include the first months payment, registration and any other fees. There may be additional fee at lease return also. Mileage is critical on a lease, if you go over it can get very expensive. Don’t lease if you know you’ll drive more than 10k a year, which is pretty low, especially for a minivan that’s used a lot.
Agree. But even with $400 effective I would say it’s a great deal for a Sienna. Making it to 12k or 15k miles might take it to $440 but still great IMO.
The last time we saw a dealer ad end up being within 30% of the final price was never….its just to get you in the door and remind you that the ad has an asterisk and disclaimer in the fine print.
One of the things that’s so great about this community is that two professionals in Cody & Jeff responded immediately letting everyone know what the market is currently supporting on these.
Yes. This Cody and Jeff are saints. Anyone thinking about doing a lease should definitely call them. You would be a fool not to. They only want to help and probably don’t make any money. Great guys and great leases. THE BEST!!!
