Hi fellow hackrs! I’m working this quote on a rx350. Thoughts? This dealer isn’t the most upfront so I’m worried there is something I’m missing. This is in VA and dealer is telling me their std MF is .0002 and lease cash is 1800 vs .0001 and 2k in NC.

4.) Rebate $1,800.00

7.) Term = 36 months

The monthly payment will $542.85 with you putting down $2,231.47 which is made up of the following items:
Acquisition fee $ 795.00
Dealer processing fee $ 649.00
Taxes $ 664.47
Tag fees $ 12.00
Total $2,231.47
Pretty good deal, just have to remove that processing fee and get the 2k incentive not 1,800. Also you need to get the non inflated money factor and everything else looks good.
Thanks! Unfortunately the MF and incentive is actually is correct for the eastern region. For some reason their lease cash is only 1800 and the std MF is .00020 vs 2000 and .00010 for the SE region.
OP, are you in NC or VA? The incentives applied should be based upon where the vehicle is registered. Did they explain what makes up that 664 tax figure? NC taxes on the monthly only and the rebates arent large enough to generate that level of tax. VA taxes on the selling price, so would expect the number to be 2k+.
I’m in NC. The 664 number is .2% Alexander county tax (I paid it before on 2 separate Audis so i thinks it’s legit) plus first month payment. Why they called it ‘tax’ is odd.
I was not aware that incentives are based on where the car is registered. I thought it was based on the dealer???
Just put a deposit down on a RX350 AWD FSPORT with msrp of 56195. 6k discount before 2k lease cash. 56% RV and std MF .00010. Paying acquisition fee and some other misc fees plus first month upfront. Payment comes out to ~480 month with 3% NC taxes. Fsports WITHOUT the red leather interior have been tough to find as dealers aren’t getting any new 2017s in.

Yes, here in NC it Is the gift that keeps on giving. You can challenge the price fairly easily. And if you transfer a plate to the new vehicle and the property tax has already been paid for the year, you don’t pay again until the next year (did that earlier this year). It defers the bad news a bit, especially if the value of the new car was more than that of old.
Actually now have a different car from the local dealer. Still rx350 fsport but now FWD with MSRP of 52,679. It’s in the color my wife likes better and an even better deal. 6200 off MSRP before incentive which is right at 12% off. This is the same dealer that wouldn’t do but 7% off last week.
Only negative is I had to call the dealer in GA and pull our deposit.
