Hmm, used it from someone’s previous post but I’ve been through so many iterations it’s possible that’s wrong. Will have to see what the dealer comes back with.
Can you post the calculation to both coming from same zip? Find that hard to believe even with 30K cash compared to 20K cash…residual value of both cars hinders you from getting same effective price?
Looking around what brokers have posted, does not look the same price to me…
Well, on a 12 or 24 month lease, $10K goes a looooonnnnnggggg way on a payment.
Just gotta math it.
Maybe he meant a better deal but definitely not the same payment. If both cars’ capitalized cost is a dollar above residual the depreciation portion of lease payment is almost zero. What’s left is just the rent charge for both which is (Net Cap Cost+Residual)×MF. Looking at the math (net cap cost+ Residual) of the RS is considerably higher than (net cap cost+Residual) of the GT. Money factor and length of the lease being the same.
RS a better deal I agree but definitely not the same payment nor efffective monthly cost
By the way I am not ERIC51…lol
I believe your RV is for the P+ trim. Prestige is -2%. Also rerun doing 12 month term at one pay (0.0027 buy rate).
Trying to figure out the right numbers, can’t find the 12 month residual on this; and how to figure out one pay in the calc? Thanks!
What you’re saying makes sense in theory but there have been several deals posted where the payment is less than the minimum payment you’d expect with cap cost = RV. There are games that can be played with all the additional incentives
That is incorrect in many cases
I landed an RS last week for a friend for 12/7500
$705/month + Tax
First only at signing
10% off
Plus standard rebates
I agree with your point that there are several games that can be played. Hopefully we can see them RS GT numbers of successful hacks soon.
I wanna move in your state…You got one left for a broke Cali Boy? Your friend sir is lucky to have you.
Let’s be honest, reason why they are just throwing these things away…
Wouldn’t touch it
No you don’t, unless you want to pay yearly excise tax. On a $100k+ e-tron, that won’t be cheap.
Do you own one?
I do and I love it.
Help me out here, doing this theoretical calc; are standard rebates $20k + $7500 +$5k Costco? With 10% off MSRP on 12/7500 I’m at just under $1300/mo
That’s an RS msrp w non RS rebates
Come on man. What did I miss?
Ah, aren’t the RS rebates $20k National credit + $7500 EV + 10% Innovator (last one can’t be combined with Costco $5k so I’ll ignore the Costco). Trying to see if I can come close to your RS deal here; help me out man, I’m in CT - will come buy from you if you have one!!
Just saying
30K national cash for the RS
Ah thanks. Lemme run these numbers again … I’ve got a local RS that I haven’t even contacted yet, hmm wonder if I can get them to bite?? This is on 2024 as well?
