I found a pre-price hike R1S order arriving in a few weeks… I could purchase it for $85K plus taxes + fees.
I might be jumping the gun because my R1S order has an ETA of Aug/Sept so I’d probably only keep this one for 3-4 months max. Is MMR over $90K for these? Over $95K?
This is the official online dealer for R1S now lol and prices are dropping. Unless you are in a tax free state, I doubt there is much to be made here.
I’m primarily trying to break even and drive this temp R1S until mine arrives. Yeah, there’s zero meat and no tax credit for me. I’m hoping the bottom doesn’t fall out of the market…
Rivian probably will do some form of a lease in order to pass through the $7500 and there might be some money to be made there via third party buyouts. No clue as to when that would happen though.
MMR for a like-new example was 95k-100k a few weeks ago.
Where are you getting it from? R1 shop? Elsewhere?
Mine is supposed to arrive in June/July. I am planning to drive it until the EX90 arrives.
Did you test drive it? It didn’t feel like a good mall crawler and/or kids shuttle to me.

I First Mile-ed both the R1T and R1S a year apart. The R1S is definitely more like a Model X than a BMW iX - meaning suspension and 1PD are Tesla-rough.
I’m not carrying a family around so this is more of a light off-road / hobby-carrier and a replacement for my Grand Cherokee.

You are likely going to pay $93K+ plus sales tax to your state. Most likely $100K out the door.
Personally, I’d wait for the dual motor variant later this year. I don’t need a need for quad-motors.
If you have an account and reserved order, you may want to ask for access to the R1 shop to see available inventory.
