Rivian Lease or Purchase Discussion

That’s crazy good. I don’t have pre order pricing. My offer was based on their raised/latest 101,800 msrp quad motor.

Wait so you could have gotten a lease with pre order? My buddy said he pre ordered his like in 2020 or something and Rivian said you cannot lease pre orders, just the ones that are “available on the lot” you can. Didn’t make sense to me but I didn’t argue. Not going to explain an whole ordeal on why it doesn’t make sense.

This was sent out on 3/22 to pre-order holders. Recent development, most likely to blow out old inventory.

Wow, so my buddy got “screwed” over by buying his. He was complaining payment was too high so decided to flip.

Yes leasing is available in certain states and the quad motor appears to be the best deal due to the high RV. If you can find one in inventory, pay the $7k down ($8,411 DAS which includes first month), you can get the basic silver with black interior for $516 a month (before taxes and fees). This is only if you pre-ordered before march of 2022.

I’m waiting on a guide to message me back cause I saw on reddit a possible another $5k off leasing this weekend. not sure if its R1T or R1S. Maybe they’ll extend that “deal” this week.

Am I missing something? These Rivian leases are terrible.

Compared to their lease before, these are amazing. Overall, they’re not great deals, but if someone really wants a Rivian, then it’s a variable alternative to financing.

Agreed. I am an early order holder and I am waiting on my lease price work. Nonetheless, not a super hot deal.

Has anyone added a joint owner on a lease ( I’ve seen it done for purchases, but not a lease) I’m looking to use my friend’s reservation to either purchase or lease the car. But at the moment a two year lease makes the most sense giving the evolving tech.

Has anyone looked into the newly launched rivian deal, it seems like a conquest trade in for similar gas models. Was launched this week with up to $5K. Curious if anyone went thru process of trying to lease one with this offer.
This is the link to the offer:

I guess my question is whether the $5,000 is in addition to the $7,000 capitalized cost reduction, if i do a 24 month lease is that basically a Rivian funded $12,000 down payment ?

No conquest from Mercedes GLE/S? Such discrimination…

No conquest from Pacifica Hybrid either which I would have thought would have been a solid market…:pensive:

The Rivian trade-in process is the worst. Just to get a valuation, you need to pay the $1000 order deposit. It’s not clear if you can get it back, if you don’t like the valuation. Since you actually have to trade-in to get this bonus, they can just offset the value by the bonus amount. It’s not conquest, it’s select vehicle trade assistance.

Current lease deal on a 2023 R1T Quad Large is getting better, $661/mo plus inceptions.

I saw that too. Trying to convince the wife we can go from an SUV to a truck. That said the truck may not fit in the garage and I don’t like keeping my cars parked outside.

Looking into this myself as well (R1S), I have an x7 which is due to be returned next month so test drove it and so far its been good…still have few more questions so trying to schedule another meeting to go over the questions and get full understanding of the numbers and see if it makes sense. Its definately not a luxury SUV and drives like a truck but overall it seemed practical and may work for me as a lease for next 2-3yrs. I just need to know if the numbers make sense and how long it’ll really take to get the tesla connector.

Am I silly for saying these are pretty good deals?

I am an early reservation holder for Rivian R1T .

My MSRP on the car is 72,100 I am getting a 20% discount on purchasing at standard apr or writing a check
should I decide to lease this car I don’t get the 20% discount I only get 5% discount , on addition I get $7,500 rebate only on lease.
36 months 12,000 mi payment is 685 plus tax
I did pick one from the stock with stealth paint protection . With 3800 out of pocket

Do I think I should do a loan on this at 72 months or 84 months at 6.25 and snag the 20% off the MSRP . And then I play those 3750 which I may qualify for that

Any advice

But what’s the DAS? Or it’s better to mention Monthtly effective in this thread because that’s what’s most important.
