So did Rivian screw up my Lease numbers?! What is going on with this rent charge on the contract I’m looking at?? How is it so low?
I cannot get a calculator to match this no matter what I try.

Someone on Rivian discord said they’re likely internally buying down money factor to near 0%, but I have no idea why they would do that?

In that case the rent charge could be correct it’s 0.02% apr

53% residual and 0.00001 MF. Not at all unusual. I’ve signed several leases with that MF over the years. It’s “0% financing” for a lease.

Ahh… I found it… they are using $7k down with fees and stuff over $8k DAS. but you can lease an R1S for $603:

Been leasing for 25 years and this is the most brutal customer service experience I’ve ever had.
Going to the dealership might be better.
My dedicated rep can not answer basic questions.
I can’t even imagine what dealing with the service dept. will be like.

With a high enough down payment, you can lease anything for $603. Definitely a good job in making people go for R1S instead of the model x though.

Thanks. What kind of RIVIAN deals have people been getting? I should have clarified that I was evaluating this amongst current/past Rivian offers and not trying to compare against other make’s offers.
My buddy here in NC got one and flipped it for a profit. He didn’t make a smart decision so I feel like he lost money but in his eyes he thinks he made money lol.
He got it for $81K out the door and the dealer offered $84,500 for it but traded it in against some old Oddessey for $22K. He lost on potentially getting something same price and not utilizing sales tax credit. All that work for $3000 wouldn’t be worth it for me.
Do you have a preorder pricing on the Rivian? They sent out emails yesterday and you can get a quad motor R1S with $7k down for about $514 a month. (not including taxes or fees)
