Rivian dropped R1S leases to $599/mo

This is $50 less than their lowest $649/mo they had last year and $200/mo less than what it was just a month ago. Must sign by 3/15.

Overall the monthly will still cost $900/mo with down payment factored in but comparing to BMW iX and Tesla Model X deals this is a much better deal on a much bigger car. Its cheaper than an X7 and GLS which are also in same size category.

Wow they even dropped the leases on the R1S? I thought only the R1T had the spicy Rivian leases.

oh sorry, updated title. This is for the R1S

Looks like you’re about to kick off 2025 Rivian R1S mania.

Not really comparable since neither of those are BEV’s.

This isn’t much of a deal. R1T’s were closer to $600 effective.

I’m seeing $785/mo with $2200 due plus tax and reg for a poverty spec dual standard. Definitely not worth it to me

Rip 2025 R1S mania…

Yes there are definitely cheaper EV lease deals right now but there’s a reason for that. They aren’t worth the prices being offered, a Lyriq at $70k is ridiculous.

In NJ it’s $5,482 DAS and $801/mo which yields $953 effective. The $599 offer is click-bait and it’s not clearly better than either an IX (better build quality) or a MX (better performance) which are both cheaper. Model X is almost 10" wider. Good luck trying to get one fixed if it gets damaged.

We do have the R1S and i love it, leased it last year during the “mania”. But last week i picked up an equal MSRP nicely equipped 89k EQE350+ for $449/mo plus tax with $1625 at signing in Florida (!!), i’d honestly love to unload the Rivian and get another Mercedes.

I love the Rivians and I’d already own an R1T if it could fit in my garage. But this is not a great lease deal at all.

I’ve got an EQS now coming to the end of its lease life. I’ve been having a hard time figuring out what I want next for a similar price point. The rivian R1S was at the top of my list along with an EQE AMG. Can you share why you like your EQE better than the rivian?

The Eqe is way more comfortable, drives like a true luxury vehicle, the R1S is way more rugged, but waaaay faster with 835hp quad motors. The only reason i’d get rid of the Rivian is to reduce the monthly car expense, since i could get two Eqe’s for the price of one Rivian. For now i’m keeping them both, i don’t think Rivian (Chase) allows lease transfers.

“with $8,493 due at signing”

Is this actually a lease reduction per month, or is it just an increase in the down payment to make the monthly payment look lower? That’s what it seems like — am I missing something?

The down payment has always been the same. So they dropped the payment $200/mo from $799/mo. So it is overall $7200 cheaper over the 36 month least term. Its only for the base model. The higher trims dont have a discount yet on leasing.
