Hi,
I have to return my Cadillac Lyriq in a couple of months and I have this scuff on a bumper panel. It is through the paint, but the panel is good.
Does anyone know how much Cadillac financial would charge if I returned the car like this? I am trying to compare fixing outside insurance, fixing with insurance or just handing it back.
Hopefully I can get a good follow up lease on another Cadillac. If not, it is on to something new!
Thank you!
Just schedule your 3rd party lease end inspection and then you’ll know exactly what the charge will be. At that point make the call of whether it’s easier/cheaper to get it fixed yourself or just turn it in and pay the damage fee.
IME for stuff like this it’s usually way cheaper to just turn it in and pay whatever the damage fee is. Wouldn’t be surprised if it’s $300ish fee vs. $1000+ to get that fixed at a body shop.
Agree. Especially if you have lease end package
After getting a lease end inspection, there may be an opportunity to request a partial waiver on excess wear (in addition to waiver of the disposition fee) - if you lease another GM vehicle. I’m hoping to do the same when returning a Blazer EV in the next couple of weeks.
please update us as i’m nearing the end of my lyriq lease and am curious about all the small things too.
Thanks all, I’ll arrange an inspection and see what they say. I am also waiting to hear from Cadillac on what they have if I keep leasing with them. I got a really good deal with this Lyriq so I am hoping the next car is not too far off or I’ll probably buy something.
