[Resolved] Leased vehicle in dealership for repair for almost a month

Hi all, I leased an Audi Q5 about 4 months ago, since the car has about 500 miles, there warning light keep coming up during adaptive cruise control.
When I finally got the time to send it to the dealership for repair, it had been almost a month.
Can I get a refund from Audi/VW finance or a lease extension?

[Solved] I used one of the lemon law lawyers for free, they negotiated the deal, I ended up with a full lease refund with a $2,500 coupon

Call a lemon attorney in your state

It will not cost you anything, and it’s the best advice you’ll get in this situation.

they’ll likely want a copy of the repair order(s) before talking to you.

Do NOT mention a lawyer to the dealership or Audi until the lemon lawyer tells you to say something.

:grinning: They were pretty good in my experience

Thanks! I will call them tomorrow

Remember that a one month lease extension would cost you an entire year’s worth of DMV registration

I had a similar thing happen. I looked up my state lemon law rules. In my case I had to send a certified letter stating some standard verbiage with a copy to the state. Then I had to give them the opportunity make a final attempt to fix. I called and complained to the customer line. They were pretty nasty and discounted idea of lemon law case, right up until I pointed out I already did all the work. Then they were VERY responsive.

I’d imagine people throw the word Lemon Law around, until you put the work in and that’s when they fence you out as someone that’s going somewhere.

If I remember correctly, I figured it was going nowhere and sent the letters like 10 days into the repair. So when the month was coming up, I was set to go.

Why did you send a letter? What state are you in?

Just use the LL lawyer, you dont have to pay for the registered mail fee.

And LL complaints require that letter to be sent
