I suggested friends lease a Grand Cherokee 4xe. A few days after bringing it home it had to go back to the dealer for battery related maintenance. It’s been over 2 weeks and they’re driving a dealer provided Jeep Patriot that is too small for their family. There is no timeframe for completion of the maintenance. They’re pretty chill and understand parts shortages and extended timeframes but at what point is it reasonable to request concessions from Jeep due to their vehicle being unavailable? Could they at least request a more ideal loaner vehicle?

Let’s try to clarify who “Jeep” is.
Asking the dealer to make your payments out of their pocket is like trying to draw blood from a stone.
You’ll have more luck contacting Chrysler Capital if that’s who the lessor is. They should have the ability to waive a payment or two based on the timeframe and all the inconvenience you can cite.
