I really need some help. I worked out a One pay 24/10k lease deal for a 2024 Wrangler 4XE Willys edition. Everything looks great so far as Rate Findr and dealers numbers+ incentives. EXCEPT, when I got the preliminary paper work today, there is a $1467.43 Rent Charge added to the deal or what it actually is. No one from the dealership can explain this charge or where it came from. The rent charge on the rate finder is around $18. Can anyone help me understand this because the dealership can’t.
post your calculator… …is it possible the 18 dollars is incorrect? Total rent charge of 1467.63/24 = 61.14 per month…
wait a second, why does it say monthly payment 307.51…i thought this was onepay
They have a few things that need correcting (including making one pay). All the other numbers are adding up correctly
isnt the acq fee 995…and your tax is zero???
Technically there is no tax in South Carolina on a lease. It is $500 fee for infrastructure management fee. They verified acq fee to be 595
What bank is being used?
It’s not SFS if the acq fee is $595, so using the SFS money factor for your calculations doesn’t apply.
They have it through Chrysler Capital
Why do one-pay when it barely saves you anything? You should be capping everything and doing a sign and drive deal.
ahhh, its not sfs…its ccap…so based on the numbers you have provided…your calc is wrong…it should like this Leasehackr Calculator - Hack your next lease | Leasehackr
Do I get a choice on who finances it? The regular “lease guy” is off until tomorrow. The fill in guy was kind of lost but he was trying.
Using your calculator, it still doesn’t add up for a 24 month lease.
Long story short…income to debt ratio.
Those incentives dont add up for ccap
Dealership personnel are clueless. They don’t understand the math b/c they rely on their desking software to crunch the numbers. Pathetic!
So, I’ll explain it. The rent charge in your lease contract is correct. Based on the contract, I calculated an MF = .00079.
Monthly payment = monthly rent charge + monthly depreciation charge
= .00079 x (41649.51 + 35736.70) + (41649.51 - 35736.70)/ 24
= 61.14 + 246.37
=307.51
Total Rent Charge = 24 x 61.14
= 1467.36 … close enough.
??? Let me know.
The contract is not a one pay lease.
That is exactly what I was looking for. If the dealership goes through SFS and the special rate of 0.00002 (which is what is offered for my area and model), the calculator makes sense (once the deal is changed to a One Pay). I greatly appreciate you explaining this to me.
You’re very welcome and all the best to you.
Maybe that’s what the bank is offering. But certainly not the dealer. They are marking it up 77 points.
With a $595 acq fee, this deal isn’t through SFS, so comparing the mf charged to SFS’s buy rate is irrelevant

Thanks for your kind words.
