Family is growing and we need something bigger than the BMW sedan we have. Looking to lease a 6/7 seater that has captain chairs available. Open to all powertrains (ICE, Hybrid, full EV)
From searching the forum I’ve come to understand that some brands/models do NOT lease well including, but not limited to:
Lincoln brand - models Aviator/Navigator
BMW X7
Land Rover Defender
Lexus LX/GX
Looking for input from you guys on any models you recommend that could be hackable in SoCal. We’ve looked at the Infiniti QX80, Cadillac Escalade, BMW X7, Benz GLS/EQS, Lexus GX/LX, and are interested in any of these models and are open to others that are comparable and lease better if these are not worth pursuing (un-hackable).
Thank you all in advance. If you need further info, please let me know.
Unless you have a very specific reason to get one, don’t get a truck-based body on frame SUV like a QX80.
Look at something like a QX60 or the higher trims of the palisade are as nice as some so-called premium brands. Not a ton of choice. Kia EV9 for BEV and Mazda CX90 for PHEV. Hyundai Ioniq 9 is coming soon as another 3-row BEV choice.
Yup, just the inherent luxury/size of the QX is what wife liked. Tried to push her into the Q60 but no go, will keep on trying.
Anyone have experience with other brands like Audi, perhaps a Q7? Anything else that would lease well in the “premium” category? I understand that other non “luxury” brands are just as good if not better, but the marketers have worked wonders convincing people otherwise.
You can see QX80, X7, GLS, etc pricing in the Marketplace
Anything not listed there is likely to be much higher, something that a self-respecting broker might be embarrassed to post. Not their fault, just terrible programs from the banks.
Audi hasn’t invested in their gas cars since dieselgate. You can compare a new Q7 to one that’s, say, 6 years old and see if it feels meaningfully newer.
