Recommendation of a Portable EV Charger

These are the plugs you’d use to connect the contraption to an outlet at a house or airbnb.

Nothing like that is portable.

You know AAA and other roadside services do offer emergency DCFC Charging?

No shot that is what you were asking in OP. LOL.

Lol @Lvs23 is going to need that when he pushes his EV battery to it’s absolute limit.

I guess you could lug around an Anker F3800 in your trunk at 130+ lbs. That would only output 3.8kwh. It would actually level 2 charge with the Lucid connector, since it does 240v.

Before he gets to that point, I think @Vincenzo_Maddalena should just cruise around in his new mega-budget-discounted Lucid Air for local trips. Then rent a ICE vehicle when he goes on a longer trip. Range anxiety is real, but throwing this much money to alleviate range anxiety isn’t worth it.

OP, you got Lucid, you will be fine. You just need to plan your roadtrip a little bit before you go, instead of just get up & go with ICE. If I can make my trip to DC works with my limited EQB range, you’ll be fine with Lucid.

The thought of what to do in that case have crossed my mind few times but I guess it would always be a flatbed to the nearest supercharger

The only solution is to get two EVs. Have one tow the other, so you can ditch the first car if it runs out of electricity and keep driving the second.

that’s $200k right there. Cheaper to put a stand-alone whole-house generator in that trailer:)
