Wanted to check whether anybody has recently sold a car to MyCarAuction. When I sold two cars to them previously, both of which were leased, they cut a full check to me (which I then used to payoff the leasing company directly) and then they picked up the car. Now, for the X5 I am looking to sell, they want to pay the balance to BMWFS directly and only cut me a check for the difference. They would pick up the car before the payment clears/posts with BMWFS.
I get where they are coming from, but I get a little nervous releasing the vehicle to them until I confirm the payoff has been posted. Curious to hear others experience if you’ve recently transacted with them.
