Reasonable Dealer Discount on 2023 S Class 580e

What would a reasonable dealer discount be on a new 2023 S Class 580e with MSRP of $157,XXX?

I know there is a $10,000 in dealer cash. Is Penfed/Truecar $10,750 stackable? $7,500 lease cash too.

Thank you!

Penfed should be stackable with the lease cash. Some dealers might include the dealer cash as a dealer discount. You just need to find a dealer that will go deep and accepts Penfed.

Dealer cash is $10k, Penfed is $10,750. They are not stackable so the benefit of Penfed/Amex/Sams is an additional $750. This is what I’ve been told, others can correct me if I am wrong. The $7,500 is stackable.

I would say an easy discount on top of the incentives is 10-12%. I would push for 20% though. My MB dealer contact told me February and March are when he thinks there will really be a push on the leftover S Classes.

How about leftover '23 E class? Best I have seen near me is 10% off MSRP. Lease still sucks, since there are no lease incentives apart from loyalty.

I’m not sure as to level of disc on an E class. The same dealer contact said that he would be willing to work on his E classes because of the new one landing imminently. On the 350 though, not really on the 450. If I were you, I’d go nuts with my offers to them on the E.

The dealer doing the 10% off was not willing to negotiate any further on E350s so I moved on. Another dealer offered me 7% off MSRP on the same trim. I did not push any further since I have a couple of months left on my existing lease. Let’s see what the end of February/early March looks like.

Yeah I think once the 24’s roll in is when the dealers with inventory will start playing ball. Mercedes has been so weird post covid.

The only downside is that not a lot of dealers have '23s on their lots. One dealer mentioned that '24s should be hitting lots in early Spring.

Yeah that’s definitely an issue if they are able to clear their inventory before the new one arrives. I guess try to find the stores that have the most inventory and keep them on your radar over the next few months. I am searching for an S Class for my dad to replace his and they’re all starting out very high, telling me that my goals are unattainable. But it’s almost weekly that I am getting follow up e-mails from them telling me they’ve “lowered their price” on the units I was interested in.

That sounds about right for Mercedes’ typical fleet programs.

The 2023 E-Class does not come in PHEV variant so that makes the S580e more attractive.
