I was recently browsing the forum and came across a signed deal on a 2026 BMW 760i xDrive demo that caught my eye:
MSRP: $133,755
Selling Price: $99,984 (25% off MSRP)
Term: 39 / 10k
Rebates: $15,000
MF: 0.00150
Payment: $837/mo | $0 DAS (Effective $816/mo)
Note: Signed in CA, 6,000 mile demo unit.
Context / Background: I wasn’t even actively in the car market right now, but seeing that post got me interested in grabbing a 7 Series. On my previous car lease, I did the negotiation in person at the dealership and just went along with whatever the sales rep offered only to realize later that I was paying $1,100/mo for a car that was going for $700/mo on Leasehackr’s pre-negotiated deals.
I want to avoid repeating that mistake and make sure I negotiate this time. After reaching out to a few Texas dealers, its clear that CA deal was a total 1-of-1 unicorn. Instead of throwing out impossible numbers and wasting local dealers’ time, I want to calibrate what a realist, achievable target is for Texas right now.
My Profile & Deal Constraints:
Location: Texas (working with 6.25% sales tax, aiming for BMW FS Lender Tax Credits)
Vehicle Focus: 740i or 760i (retired service loaner / executive demo preferred)
Rebates: No BMW Brand Loyalty. No Conquest.
Term: 39 months / 10,000 miles per year
Due at Signing: $0 down (First month’s payment only)
Trade-in: None
If I target a retired 740i demo or a 760i demo with a realistic 15%-18% pre-incentive discount using Texas Lender Tax Credits at buy-rate MF:
What is the true “sweet spot” monthly payment I should be targeting for a $0 down sign-and-drive?
Are Texas dealers currently getting enough tax credit allocations on 7 Series demos to make sub-$900/mo realistic without loyalty?
For those who negotiated remotely in TX, did you find it better to finalize everything via email/text before walking in for delivery, or jump on a phone call with the GSM once the quote was close?
Appreciate any insight from the brokers and Hackrs in the TX region!
There isnt a “sweet spot”. 15% pre-incentive gives a specific amount for you, given your qualifications. What is it? What is it for 18%? Assume, say, 4000 miles.
FYI that signed post has it listed as a 2026, but if you look at the user’s post under Signed Deals & Tips it’s a 2025. Rebates are much less especially if you don’t qualify for the loyalty(s).
I’m going to be posting a new 2026 at 14% off, but as others have mentioned, you’re losing $7,000 in rebates without loyalty, and there are no tax credits. These are the numbers for the unit I have:
Having current, accurate information for residual value, money factor, and incentives is important in understanding your deal. As such, going directly to a source that has access to that data from the captive banks is your best option.
Rate Findr has that information, as they have direct access to it from the captive banks. It’s a tool on the Leasehackr Calculator, available to Super Supporters.
