We’re ready to lease a BMW iX - better to look for a 2024 model that is in the US somewhere, or order the 2025 model year car we want? Dealer is telling us we will get the same deal / lease rates, I am skeptical. Any advice?

That is true, new car had more incentives i was told when i called about a loaner.
