Hey cheap skates and non hackr types,
It’s been awhile due to my last deployment but I’m back and ready to finish where I left off. So I was all set for my e300 $400/m but now times have changed… just got orders to beautiful Detroit and have been eying up a awd small suv with heated everything! Saw a tread on the rav4 @202 a month but dealers are laughing at me and coming in around 325. I’m used to being Laughed at, so that doesn’t Bother me but maybe somebody can hook me up with a piece of the puzzle I’m missing! Nc state, tier 1 credit, usaa, military…
Sounds like you want a broker. Might want to wait until you get to Detroit. @Benedetto could probably hook you up with an Equinox or Cherokee at a great deal
I send some stuff out to nyc broker but no response. I was just gonna take the car with me up there… I don’t see them caring if I cross state lines though I may need to ask. My last Subaru I brought to va from Alabama . Thanks!
You will get a better deal in Michigan if you get an American car there because the dealers all focus on volume. Obviously, the state doesn’t care if you bring your own car. Carolina just isn’t a competitive market for leasing.
Detroit is a pretty strong leasing market especially for domestic cars. SOOO many people lease there. A lot of domestic brands do regional based incentives and they are normally highest in that market. Good luck!
Thanks! I guess I’ll wait!
Why not Forester or Outback, then? Can hook you up with sales manager in DC area.
If you are eligible (perhaps through a relative) for one or more of the OEM employee prices, some of those Michigan area lease deals on domestic metal are the very best lease deals there are.
I feel like all the best leases are in CAli on your hipster Hybrids when the electric company and state are paying for half of it… haha
I also tried to replicate that RAV4 sign n drive deal, 2 of 3 dealers wouldn’t even call me back. The 3rd said, sure no problem just fill out the credit app online on our dealer page. Pressed a little harder, come to find out it would have been with $5k down. Dirty sob’s.
Best around Virginia Beach to dc is 2k down $240 out the door w tax on 26k msrp! Zero down was around 330 with Nc 3% tax
Forester premium with cold package should be around $250 or less with 0 down.
Just plugged into calculator: 26k MSRP, 22.5k selling (about 1.5k under invoice), zero down, 61% RV, .00020 MF = $218/mo incl. 3% NC tax and 695 aqusition fee
Prem with cold package and starlink at 28,411 MSRP, same conditions = $248
RAV4 hybrids are expensive in California. MA has great deals on them. Ours is $250 a month 6.5% tax, $0 drive off on a 30K MSRP car
The 3% tax means NC dealers don’t discount as much - been fighting that battle myself for awhile. Try and find the deal outside the area and see if you can find a local dealer hungry enough to match - there have been some good deals from GA dealers in the last 6 months, not sure if that has changed since they fixed their lease tax structure.
New ones are going for 189$ lease for 24 months seema unreal
The secret of Detroit is that there are a lot of auto company employees that get cheap leases and for one reason or another want to get out of them. Lease takeovers can be really cheap.
