Hi hackrs, newbie here. I’m still trying to determine if I have all the required info for someone to advise me. The info doesn’t translate to accurately complete the hacker calculator successfully. Does this deal look right?
How much is the dealer discount? A good deal will be around 12-13% off prior to discounts. I can do the math but slightly busy.
It would be nice if they could show the incentive on a rebate line or just take it off the price, these guys are aholes with this lease sheet. They’re playing some shenanigans. The handwriting looks like my 13 year old, that’s not a compliment
You need to ask for zero DAS or just first payment
So if MSRP is 53563.00 and capitalized cost is 47041.59 that would be a 6521.41 dealer discount right? This would be 12.1% if I’m not mistaken.
That’s for 15k miles per year. I think you can get it for zero DAS and $450 per month, considering it is base. Also, 2020 model is coming in to the dealerships next month .
Start this deal over. Ask them what the available incentives are for this lease. You get those after the discount. The come from Lexus Financial to the buyer. They will try and mix them in as part of your price off. Remind them that you get the incentives even if you pay full MSRP so take those out of the equation. They’ve offered you 7% off MSRP. Verify this is before incentives. It’s not a bad starting point, Tell them you’ve read 12% is pretty routine. Tell them you’ll sign today for 10.5% off MSRP. (and again, you get the “lease cash” incentive AFTER you negotiate the discount on MSRP, not before). Finally, watch closely what they do with the money factor. They will no doubt jack it up. Insist on the base or extremely close. Do not put cash down to reduce the cap. 0 down at signing. Good luck and don’t be afraid to politely walk. They will call back because they know they can do what you’re asking, they just don’t want to if they don’t have to. But at some point, they’ll just take the sale. If they don’t come back, try other dealers.
