Rate my deal - 2026 Infiniti QX60 Luxe

First post but I have been researching on this site for a few weeks. Signed this deal yesterday and wanted to get some feedback on the deal I got. I did the lease calculator and shared the link below.

A few details:

  • I am in NJ.
  • Lease is for 33 months/10k miles
  • 0 down/true sign and drive
  • $651 a month
  • got the buy rate (.00120 MF/ 2.88%)

*One caveat is that the calculator shows $643 a month but my actual deal is $651 a month. I must have messed something up.

Thanks in advance.

true sign and drive, just refundable MSD due at signing, no broker fee through 1/31: Leasehackr Calculator - Hack your next lease | Leasehackr

This isn’t a 651/month truck.

Thx for the feedback - the MSDs are an interesting approach that I had never thought of. Even if it is refundable at the end of the lease (as long as you dont terminate early or there is an issue with the car), Im good with the deal I got and I can keep that 6k in my pocket or in the bank gaining interest.

the msd in the link above save you $98/month x 27 months = $2646 over an outlay of $5858. That’s 45% on your money in a little over 2 years, risk-free, tax-free. That 6k in your pocket can only early about 2.5-3% / year risk-free, pre-tax. Let’s say you “need” the cash for some significant outlay in the next 2 years, which I can understand, but if you’re buying a $62k car, that $5850 is likely not your last $5850. That said, even without MSD, the deal I was offering was about a grand cheaper than you signed. At least you weren’t that guy who texted me on the last day of the month to reserve a car, then made up some b/s about building a deal with “2 msd” for some reason, then ghosted, then told me he went to a dealer and did the exact same deal. people like that are absolute garbage.

I ended up doing 33 months over 27 even if the residual value is higher/money factor lower. I know 27 was the best term Infiniti offered. Just wanted the suv for more time. Does that change the numbers much?

So, do you suggest for any lease deal that you should always do MSDs if you have the money to spare? In this case, I didnt bc of a recent 2nd home purchase. Covering 2 morgatges a month is….fun.

I actually enjoy doing research on a car and trying to do a good deal myself. Admittedly, I dont know as much as a broker but enjoy using information on forums like this and trying to get a good deal. How much do brokers normally charge? I watch that guy Tomi on youtube. Think he charges 1k but not positive.

Damn, that does sounds like a garbage move. Goes to show that not only are there shady dealers, but also shady customers.

Why didn’t you come here BEFORE signing the deal and ask for an evaluation? If nothing else, you would have had some information to hopefully negotiate an even stronger deal with your cal dealer.

Correct move was to do 27 and then extend 3 more at lease end.
