Rate Findr Just Got Better: Search by VIN

We added a new feature to Rate Findr where you can search for lease and finance programs by Vehicle Identification Number (VIN).

This saves time when you are shopping for a particular vehicle and allows you to pull VIN-specific programs.

To boost sales, manufacturers often create special incentive programs for a specific set of VINs (e.g. older models and aged inventory).

Our data provider is still expanding its VIN-specific program database. We thought it would be helpful to bring the information to you as the database grows, so you could uncover additional VIN-specific incentives before you close the deal.

Wow this is great. Every person trying to hack a Ford will appreciate this. They don’t allow brokers, and their incentives are all over the place since they’re often VIN specific and option-group specific.

I am also seeing improvements in Chevrolet incentives
Still doesn’t have everything like Bolt owner and still doesn’t allow stacking

Ford definitely allows brokers, but has awful leasing programs, making them really not worth the time. Same w lincoln.

That’s what I want to know, is Ford included in this database right now?

Also curious what the expected behavior is? I put in a Vin and the same list of potential incentives comes up as putting the Year/Make/Model.

Side note: Is selecting this supposed to update the MF in the calculator? It doesn’t currently.

Based on what our data provider has told us, the database is still getting built out. VIN-specific programs would still show up when pulling programs using Year/Make/Model/Trim, with the disclaimer that these are VIN-specific programs so that not all vehicles would qualify. Our data provider told us that they are starting to refine the data with Stellantis vehicles.

We haven’t built that feature in yet. Only one-pay program’s MF gets automatically adjusted on the calculator right now. Could you give me the vehicle name or VIN so we can start building that feature out?

Thank you!

Thanks for that info. I put in a 2023 F-150 Lightning Platinum as an example. Here’s a Vin for one: 1FT6W1EV4PWG16049

That $6100 vin specific bonus cash is substantial

Does this mean I might finally get the Arteon of my dreams???

How do you know whether you’ve hit a VIN specific bonus cash vehicle? Take 3FMTK3SS5PMA33067 for example - it’s showing $3300 Mach-E VIN specific bonus cash under conditional cash.

If the bonus is displayed, does that mean it is confirmed to have the VIN specific bonus, and that is on top of the EV RCL cash? Or is that already included?

Every Ford Dealer’s sales & service agreement with Ford Motor Co that I have ever reviewed specifically disallows brokers. Could just be my region, though. YMMV

Ford allows brokers if they don’t know the broker is involved :eyes:

The vin specific bonus thing in ratefinder hasn’t been updated for Ford leases. You can enter in any F-150 lightning VIN and it will show up.

Have to ask the dealer.

ah, i see. so it’s just gotta be a case by case basis for Ford still. Will be very helpful when it does show up, any specific models/brands that have significant VIN-conditional incentives?

Is this just Domestic manufacturers or would imports apply such as Land Rover, BMW, MB, etc…?

Definitely would prioritize Ford if possible. Calling a dozen dealers trying to figure out what incentives apply where is a nightmare. Great feature add!

It’s been working great for me, not even necessarily looking for vin specific rebates, just using it to save clicks when running calculators. Great feature add, thx LH team!!
