Range Rover Velar vs Range Rover Sport

Need some votes! Which would you rather go with?

2018 Velar First Edition 380 R-Dynamic
MSRP: $87,500
Lease: $899 (includes tax)
Out of Pocket: $899
39mo/15k annual

2018 Range Rover Sport TD6
MSRP: $75,300
Lease: $618 (includes tax)
Out of Pocket: $1000
39mo/15k annual

I know they are vastly different. The Velar is loaded completely while the Range Rover Sport is a base model (the sunroof doesn’t even open).

I would like to know what folks would pick…just based on what you think would be a better deal. I could live without all the options but also wouldn’t mind them either. It’s a tough decision ($280 monthly difference).

Let me know your thoughts! I need to sign obviously before year end.

618 for a sport?? Where is the dealer? Is it a loaner? Do you know the selling price and what is the tax rate? Can you share the dealer name?

Can you show the lease sheet for the RR Sport?

I think this forum is about to explode if you can get one for those numbers. Are these reversed??

Take the rover (real one) and sell it to someone hear and make $3-5K

I’d def take the RR sport even with no options for that price. Not sure how real that deal can be given the price and that it’s for 15k miles per year!!??

I’ll seriously consider taking the RR sport if you don’t want it

I second that👆🏻

Would also take the Sport if you don’t end up taking it! Where are the dealers located?

Let us know what you decide. There’s a bunch of people myself included who would like to get in on this deal if they have extra.

It’s clearly an error on someone’s part and we’d all like to capitalize on it.

It’s effectively 22+ percent or 17k off msrp doing a reverse calculation with diesel hse residual of 52 percent at 39/15 and .00055 MF and assuming 9 percent sales tax.

This had to have been a mistake

Run, don’t walk back to the dealer and SIGN for the RR Sport.

Ill take the R R sport asap. Let me know where to go

RR Sport over the velar, no brainer. Even the base RRS has a much nicer drive than the Velar. The V6 in the higher trim Velars is still slow off the line and makes a lot of unrefined noise.

We got a new velar s 380 for about the price of that sport. Given the choice between the two, sport is a no brainer. But it really comes down to your personal preference. But anyways, 99% chance OP is trolling

It’s not worth my time to troll. My local dealership in Philly laughed when I asked them to match the price because it was so low. After that response and the feedback on this forum, I wanted to get the vehicle before I shared the dealership. Unfortunately, I put the dealership of another deal I had on here and it told within an hour. I missed out on the deal and it was awfully coincidental not to think the customer found my deal on here.

That being said…I am signing on the deal!

It’s 11% tax (Philly) but the Land Rover dealership is in NY (about 20 miles outside the city).

They have one more left! But it’s an end of year sale. Call today and put down a deposit. They are open on New Years.

Cheers!

Which dealership ? I can’t find it in another post

Btw thanks!!

I’m dying to see the lease sheet for a 599 Range Rover Sport

How much did you put down on your Velar, the length of the lease and the mileage allowed? That’s a great deal on a Velar. I decided to go for the RR sporf

Still dying to see that lease sheet

As am I. Smoking hot deal and I’m genuinely shocked that this came from a downstate NY dealer. I’ve found that all (obviously now… most) of the LR dealers in the area are a bit “difficult” to work with in regards to getting a conscionable lease deal.
