Depending on taxes, you are going to pay $34,000+ to drive that vehicle for three years. That seems like a lot of money. They generally don’t lease that well, but that’s still not a good deal. Is there another vehicle in that class that you like?
I’m in the same boat right now, also in Florida- the dealer made it clear to me yesterday that they don’t need my business- the Velar is a super hot car right now and “this is Range Rover”… I got into the high 7’s with 2980 down. Does your $888 require a down payment?
Horrible deal. I’d stay clear of this one
@ccejohnston, This is a no down payment price. This is first offer and I plan to negotiate, but I am horrible at it. I am thinking I will get the same BS you did about not needing my business. A Range is my wife’s dream car and she’s a fantastic mom and spouse and deserves it, so we will probably end up with a Velar anyway, but I might need to find a broker to assist and help me get a better deal.
Does anyone know of any better deals out there on the velar?
Any tips on negotiating a lease? Do you get them on a lower MF?
@anon98469396 we are also considering the new BMW X5 that launches in November. Unsure if a brand new car will have any great deals or not.
The wife currently drives a X3.
This payment is WAY too high. I leased a 68k P250 R-Dynamic SE back in April and am paying $726/month. I believe that most dealers are discounting about 4k currently, with another 4k in dealer cash on the 2018s. Land Rover dealers routinely mark up MFs so try your best to shop around.
What state is that?
$8K off a Range Rover Velar ?
WHERE ?
2018 are leasing quite well:
$569 First month’s payment
$3,031 Down payment
$0 Security deposit
$895 Acquisition fee

I got mine at Northfield Land Rover in Chicago. In April, I asked for a 3.5K discount on the car, additionally I had 1k in autoshow cash and 3k conquest cash (had an Audi). MF at that point in time was .00009.
Illinois. 20202020
Wow that’s a great deal - especially the low MF.
I’m looking at the D180 diesel Velar.
Do you think the leftover 2018 will have a good enough discount to match your deal ???
More than likely, I know that they are offering $4225 lease cash on them but I’m not sure what the current MF is.
Just pinged my dealer and said they have $2K in rebates and $2500 dealer discount for an unstuck 2018 Velar- which is what you are referring to ?
Or are they hiding money and it actually is $4225 lease cash only ???
I think there is some room for negotiation depending on region. Here in MA - admittedly it will be more for 15k miles
Take a look at Land Rover Northfield…they have several vehicles with massive advertised discounts.
OMG - they are amazing - LR Northfield has some great discounts - $7K - $8K on the 2018 Velars!
Wish I was closer to them - can’t see myself driving it back cross country to the west coast…
Saw 8-12% off this past week on 2018 Velars. 2019s are $100-200 more a month. Most ads are for 5k miles, so add $30 for each mileage tier higher. Ex +$120 a month to go from 5k miles to 15k.
Guys I’m new to this website, I really need help. This was my Velar deal - I want help evaluating it. I do not know how to post a new thread so I replied to this one - please be nice I already picked up this car for my wife, it is my first lease EVER!
