I’m looking at leasing a Ram 1500, Big Horn crew cab 4x4. I have a current JLU lease coming to an end. I am trying to figure out what incentives would apply to my situation.
Per the Ram official website, there are incentives for “up to $6,050 in total value”, as follows:
$1,250 Retail Consumer Cash
$2,500 Big Horn Retail Bonus Cash
$2,300 Big Horn Package Discount
Plus $500 Chrysler Capital Bonus Cash when financed through Chrysler Capital for 2021 1500 Big Horn models.
When I asked for the lease #s on Edmunds, I was told for 36/12:
.00001 MF and 56% residual
$2000 incentive
So my first question is, which is it? Is there something I’m missing about the incentives I listed from the Ram website that would make them inapplicable to my situation? None of them seem to rely on any qualification e.g military, first-responder. I have very good credit if that matters.
Am I also entitled to the additional $500 for returning lessee ?
Hm, that makes sense. It just didn’t clearly say one way or the other so I wasn’t sure. Also the way its worded as “6050 total value” OR “0% APR offer” made me read it as lease vs purchase option.
That means Use another bank (Lease or Loan or Cash) or use our Captive Bank Loan (0%) which can be a lease for the first but you will have to deal with the issues of a 3rd party bank like US Bank.
I don’t think I qualify for that, unless I missed something. I’m a 33 year old lawyer. My wife does have a small vegetable garden during the summer, does that do it?
Lease : Lease with the Captive Bank Benefit
Buy : Buy with the Captive Bank OR Lease with a Non Captive bank. (The non Captive Bank buys the car from the OEM and then leases it to you)
There there are Rebates and Bonus Cash and etc, but I am just telling you how a non Captive Bank gets the ‘Buy’ benefit.
In your case the 6250 or 0% is a ‘Buy’ Benefit.
Ex : Tacomas were leasing ok with Toyota but incredible with US Bank, and the US Bank Deal was getting the ‘Buy’ benefit included, and if I remember right Sub $200 Tacomas were possible with US Bank last year.
Lol.
If I recall correctly anyone can get an associate type of adult membership. It’s not the cheapest, about $100, so I would confirm the applicable discount beforehand.
Same goes with Farm Bureau, American Quarter Horse Association, ETC.
There is a forum on 5thGenRams that provides links to organizations that will provide folks with Affiliate pricing(after becoming a member) if you don’t wanna haggle much or have dealers sticking to MSRP
Did some searching but didn’t find any specific to Ram.
I am having a hard time finding a 1500 configured just the way I want, and I wanted to find out more how building a vehicle to lease would work.
Do you lose the power to negotiate on the sale price? Any additional fees/costs to account for?
And the real question - are any dealers going to be willing to do this, or do they just want to move whats on the lot (which seems to next to nothing right now)?
