Ram 1500 Laramie Deal Analyze

Hello,

I received the deal below for a 1500 Laramie 4x2 Black Appearance Package. I know there is a bit of improvement to be made on MF based off what I received from Edmunds but are there any other areas for getting a better deal? What are capped fees? Thank you.

Not good, I mean you should be getting about 20-25 percent off these Rams BEFORE Rebates (selling price). Heck I’d even try 30%, but also I wouldn’t personally get it without 4x4.

See below at a dealer advertising the same MSRP truck at 40K (includes $3200 in rebates), but still a heck of a lot cheaper than yours.

Try CarGurus for your area and surround area to see what they’re going for with their price analysis.

Trucks have a lot of money on the hood to move them. Goto Edmunds (as you have) put the trim and request the MF and Residual for your zip code so you know what you should be getting.

There is no way your getting 20-25% off before rebates. If you check the price paid thread over at 5thgenrams forums, 15% before incentives is realistic. For purchase you could get 30% off including rebates on all trims back in June. Currently that’s only available for select inventory of big horn. And 35% the classic model with its 20% cash allowance incentive. But again that is only for purchase. That being said. You could knock off $3500 from the sell price and get them down to base MF.

Ooof

That’s no good man

Check my Ram spreadsheet in my thread for an example of a good deal on one

It’ll help to be your guide

Thanks everyone for the assistance. Figured the selling price was to high. I’ll keep working this deal along with seeing what else is out there.

Yeah use CarGurus to locate the Rams, idk what area you’re in but the trucks are plentiful. From what I’ve read, 20% isn’t unheard of, I know the owners forums may say otherwise. Shoot for 25-30% and accept what you feel comfortable with. Keep us updated.

Just be sure not to get screwed with the MF and Residual.

Thanks for your info above… Hey how or which discounts apply on the 2019 Rams when leasing instead of buying? I had a dealer (salesman) tell me when leasing none of them apply. Must lease against full MSRP. And when new year comes out soon is it better to lease new 2020s or new 2019s?.. I recently moved to AR and just realizing incentives vary by resident zip code now. Looking to lease to keep payments low til can afford to buyout lower amount after. But don’t want to waste money if would be off of full MSRP to begin with

I would recommend checking out the Ram Trucks website. It will give you the rebates your area qualifies for. That will at least help a bit. It will also give you the ability to calculate their lease, although every dealer tells me those prices aren’t possible. :joy:

Depends on your area a bit, but the mid-atlantic is getting 3250 right away for a lease. There was also another $1000 in incentives as well, so I was at 4250. I’ve seen a MI area resident say he was up to 6750. So it depends, but I’m willing to bet it’s definitely not 0.

Attached is a quote that I received for a 2019 Laramie 4x2 Crew crab. Feedback is welcome. Looks like they raised the MF and lowered the RV. Also don’t understand all the fees.

After checking Edmonds, the MF and RV appears correct. What about the discount and all the other fees?

Go on Edmunds and post asking what incentives/rebates are available for this truck.

Cause youre getting a rebate of $4000 off this truck. and As long as the in the selling price includes no rebates youre at about a 13% off MSRP. I’d honestly push for 20 and take 15% off before rebates since its the end of the month and Labor day.

Also, I’d ask them about the $85 dollar maintenance and “other coverage” is? Unless youre adding a maintenance plan or something else?

Also, if youre comparing the MF and Residual to the one above then MF and Residuals change per trim, mileage, term, region, etc. That’s why we request you post in Edmunds with your zip and model for the one you want.

Thanks for the info. I am not doing a maintenance plan, so not sure what that is.

I did ask about the extra fees and the sales manager sent a really nasty response back and ended the email saying he was going to discontinue any future correspondence.

All because I questioned his numbers.

Well then it looks like you need to find another dealer cause that one suck and I would never do business with a dealer like that (seems shady). Check CarGurus and email these dealers with the truck you want. Only go in once you agree on numbers.

Luckily Ram dealers are more plentiful that others. What region are you in?

Well, that’s not someone you want to work with. Where are you located? I think you can get a better deal on a 4x4 as I believe your RV will go up and your MF will go down. This deal didn’t feel like the best. For reference, I just leased a 4x4 Laramie here in NJ. MSRP just under 59k, 12.5% off MSRP, my rebates were $6500 so significant difference, but my lease is just under $500 a month, 36 months, 12k. Search my username and you can find my #s and lease calculator.

I’m new to this site. My lease is up in a few months so I’m doing some homework. I’m looking at the ram Laramie and received a similar offer also in NJ. There’s definitely incentives available on lease. I went to ram website and showed the dealer. I’m learning so much. Lol.
