Question: Transferring Custom License Plate From One Lease To Another?

Hey folks, I have a question:

I have a custom plate on a current lease that is registered under my father that I value a lot and really want to retain.

I am picking up a new lease next week that will be registered under my name, and the current lease is being returned soon.

Question 1: How difficult is it to transfer the custom plate from the current lease to my new one since we do not have the vehicle title for either?

Question 2: Will the difference in registrants (my father vs. I) be an issue when transferring?

We’re both located in Pennsylvania.

Thank you in advance!

First your father needs to request plates release from the bank. Then, I think, he can transfer them to you. But I’m certain about the first part only.
Edit: maybe PA handles plates completely differently.

I wouldn’t want to give back my ASSMAN plates, either.

Think you’re looking for form mv 140, if it’s your plate, you’ll need permission from the bank.
