Question about start date on lease signed out of state and being shipped

So I had a question about purchasing a vehicle out of state. If I were to sign on a vehicle today, and have it shipped to me about 1500 miles which would probably take about a week. Assuming I have the car shipped to me and be factored into the cost of the lease, would my lease officially start when I take delivery or the first day I am signing on the car. It is my first time trying to lease a car out of state and any insight is appreciated.

Nah

It starts when you sign the contract.

That sucks, oh well it is still worth it in my case.

Its always worth it if the deal is good enough to ship.

And will you really notice the difference between 1095 and 1085 days of use?

When I moved from OH to CA, I went to Delaware to lease a new car right around Thanksgiving, had it shipped, flew to CA, and rented a car for nearly a week before it arrived. I was well over $5,000 ahead after all of that.

also you’ll be insuring the car during its journey to you, delivery service will have coverage as well but its your problem, not dealers once your signed and its on the way.
