Question about Lease Protection for my Chevy Blazer

Anyone here has prior experience with Lease Protection with Chevy vehicles?

I understand that there is a Disposition fee of $395, but do you guys think we need lease protection? If yes, do we need to purchase it from the same dealer or can we shop from any other Chevy dealers? My dealer quoted $650, so not sure what to do exactly. Any suggestions?

EDIT:

I am not referring to GAP Insurance. I went with ONEPAY Lease; so GAP is default with ONEPAY.

Lease protection (aka Lease Insurance) from my dealer covers Tires, Wheels, 4" or smaller dents, lost keys, windshields, etc.

Are you asking about gap insurance? Or something else. Need to be more specific

Not GAP Insurance, I went with ONEPAY Lease; so GAP is default with ONEPAY.

Lease protection from my dealer covers Tires, Wheels, 4" or smaller dents, lost keys, windshields, etc. They probably call it Lease Protection/Lease Insurance.

Do you often lose multiple keys, curb your wheels, get fist sized dents, or break your windshields?

You need to read the policy carefully to see what is excluded. For example, you said it covers tires. Does that mean if they are below minimum tread when returned, or just covers fixing flat tires?

If I was so hard on cars that this type of coverage makes sense, I’d just drive something that’s cheap, old and already looks horrible.

Never till date; that is the main reason why I was rethinking

Not just flat tires, but if we hit the tires around the curb and needs to be replaced, this insurance covers it, similarly the wheels too.

Sounds like a waste of money then
