I have never purchased car online or a dealer who is not local. I found a car on driveway.com through Edmunds and its available at Audi dealer in Ca. I think driveway.com and Audi dealer in Ca is owned by same company. What due diligence should one do? driveway.com gives you 7 day or 400 miles to try the car but my worry is if there is any problem, it will be a hassle to deal with online company. Also if I trade in, I can not get my traded car back if there is a problem.
I read people buy cars even without going to dealerships and from out of state? I am still trying to wrap my head around that.
My neighbor got a year old SQ5 from Carvana in early 2021 before the supply chain issues. There were deals on LH for brand new SQ5 P+ for less than what he paid for a used one. There are some strong Audi incentives right now, so make sure that you are not paying more for a used Audi when you can get a brand new one for the same price or less.
I wouldn’t buy a used car online without at the very least getting a PPI.
And yes, Driveway.com is owned by Lithia, which one of the largest dealership groups in the country. I’ve found their customer service to be less than satisfactory, but that’s just my experience.
