Despite both being midsize 3 row SUVs, they’re vastly different vehicles that for the most part will attract a different type of buyer.
Many traditional crossover shoppers wouldn’t consider a body on frame GX with absolutely ghastly fuel efficiency numbers, whereas those that are attracted to the GX wouldn’t be caught dead in a 4 cylinder fwd based soccer mom mobile.
If that’s the case, then @jworthy42 shouldn’t expect TX fervor to die down for at least a year (probably more). There are a lot of soccer moms.
Edit: I take back what I said. Lexus of Beverley Hills is doing a flat 5% list price drop on all TX 350’s. Guess the base TX isn’t hotcakes in SoCal. The 500h F Sport still has ADM though. Go figure.
Lexus has figured out that they don’t need to try to hype. They have a core base of customers that will buy every time, without fail just like Benz did in the 80’s
