Purchase Hack: 2021 Hyundai Tucson Limited FWD - $7175 off MSRP

This was a cash buy on 4/27 but probably still worth the data point with this car market. Looks like this car still has some room (since it’s been refreshed to brand new 2022 model) to get a good deal but May has reduced purchase rebate by $1,000.

Year, Make, Model, and Trim: 2021 Hyundai Tucson Limited (FWD)
MSRP: $31,165
Selling Price: $27,490
Incentives: $3,500 in factory cash
OTD Price: $23,990 + TTL
Region: Northern California

The dealer also came within $200 of my CarMax offer on a 2011 Hyundai and took it as trade. There may have been more room (I don’t think so - took forever to get this price done) but this was the only FWD in a color we liked within 100 miles.

Nice job! Should be easy 3k positive equity on that …

To be clear, it appears your selling price is $27490, not $23990 and that the discount here is $3675

Updated to better reflect that

Where do you go for info about sales price and incentives for purchase/financing? Is there also an Edmunds forum for that?

Edmunds usually has it on the car page - I use the app for it

Autobytel is usually a good source of purchase incentives
