Price Check - Fully loaded 2024 Escalade Sport Platinum ESV

We are looking to upgrade to a larger SUV with our growing family. I’ve been shopping around for a good bit now (x7 M60i, Suburban, Sequoia) and now an Escalade. I ended up finding a low mileage fully loaded 2024 with only 12k miles.

It’s a certified pre-owned so the warranty is still valid. Sticker price is at $109,800 with original MSRP at just over $133,000. As I mentioned it’s fully loaded and has just about every option.

I live in PA but the car is located in Delaware. Trying to get some insights on price and whether or not it seems like a fair deal. I get the sense they are willing to wiggle on the price but trying to understand what a fair and honest counter would be…if any.

Below is a link to the car:

133 original msrp? Doesn’t sound right. Was that with dealer add ons as that didn’t exist from the factory. So it’s marketing

For 20k more you can get an 24 esv V with similar miles they will depreciate less.

I do t have time to look but a 23 goes for this… you want to pay $33k more?

Correct

Yes they were added by the dealer. The previous owner bought if from the same dealer and then traded it in for a 25’

@djrabbi probably knows the best place to get a loaded ESV Plat

The 2025 facelift looks so badass.

Definitely go with a CPO unit if you’re going with the L87 (6.2) engine

The markups on the 25 are absurd though. The V is easily doing 200k…

isnt 2025 not only a facelift but entirely new interior as well? I would calculate total cost to own between this and the new body by making some conservative assumptions. Numbers may not look very different.

One year old used car on a model with a major engine issue? Too much of a possibility for me that it was bought back before it would officially have to be lemoned.

Step one of any best practice is to pick the right car.

I’m a little confused why you started off with X7 (unibody) and the price range of a Sub/Seq and moved away to an Escalade. Test driving a Lexus TX would have been the logical next move for me.

This site isn’t made to make logical choices. I would have taken X7 in a heartbeat.

Do you really want to pay for a cat back sport exhaust and performance brake kit for your family vehicle?

It is not exactly low mileage at 12K in the first year. The vehicle was also not maintained properly as the initial 5K service was not done until 12K miles. I would walk away.

The x7 third row is a joke. I have three kids so opted to look for something bigger.

Thanks for this, I noticed this as well after getting home and looking more into.

Someone should list this as “Solved” based upon the above post and close this dog.

TX should be meaningfully more spacious inside than an X7.
